About

In 2023, the Center for Architecture + Design opened its doors following a major renovation made possible by the Shape Your City Capital Campaign. Thanks to the generous support of our partners and donors, the Center now offers expanded public spaces for exhibitions, programs, and community engagement—reflecting a shared commitment to advancing architecture and design as vital forces in shaping a more equitable and sustainable San Francisco.

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit established by AIA San Francisco, the Center fosters public dialogue about architecture, design, and the built environment across the Bay Area. Through exhibitions, talks, tours, film series, and other programs, it brings together diverse design voices in a collaborative setting that invites the public to explore and appreciate the impact of design in everyday life.
