Explore the newly expanded California College of the Arts campus, a landmark project by acclaimed design firm Studio Gang. Envisioned as a dynamic creative ecosystem, the 82,305-square-foot building fosters collaboration across disciplines through its seamless integration of indoor and outdoor environments. Visitors will walk through state-of-the-art art-making studios, flexible learning spaces, and landscaped green areas that reflect CCA’s commitment to sustainability and community.
The tour offers a rare opportunity to experience the building’s exposed mass timber structure—one of the first of its kind in California—featuring an innovative eccentric braced frame system. Led by Steve Wiesenthal, Studio Gang’s Campus Environments Principal and head of the San Francisco office, this behind-the-scenes visit provides insight into the architectural vision and technical ingenuity behind the project.
Following the tour, attendees are invited to stay for the CCA Digital Craft Lab Open House and Technology Demo beginning at 5:00 PM.
